The head of the government of Karabakh spoke in support of Russian peacekeepers

The head of the government of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, billionaire Ruben Vardanyan spoke out in support of Russian peacekeepers working in the region. He spoke about this during a teleconference between Stepanakert and Yerevan, the recording was published on YouTube.
Vardanyan stated that the presence of Russian peacekeepers in the region is a security issue for Karabakh.
“We will do everything to make the Russian peacekeeper feel that he is playing an important role here, and so that they understand that we, Armenians, understand their situation. If Russian peacekeepers weren’t here, we wouldn’t be here,” he said.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan expects Moscow to take action to unblock the Lachin corridor. According to him, the illegal blockade of the corridor led to a humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh.
