German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that a “Marshall Plan” should be prepared for Ukraine. This was reported by the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
According to media reports, citing politicians, we are talking about creating a new Marshall Plan for the 21st century. Among other things, in Ukraine it is planned to create a platform that will help coordinate assistance provided to the country.
“In particular, experts will ensure that the allocated funds go where they are most needed,” the newspaper notes.
Recall that the “Marshall Plan” is a program of assistance to Europe after World War II, which was proposed by US Secretary of State George Marshall in 1947.
