The head of Orsk, Vasily Kozupitsa, responded to the investigation regarding his son Nikolai, who went to work in Saudi Arabia and owns housing in Dubai. A video of the mayor’s statement was published on the Telegram channel “Ural56.Ru”.
“My son went to work, where he was invited, to Saudi Arabia. By the way, it’s not great there either. It’s very hot and the climate is difficult. I’m proud that my children achieve everything on their own,” the official said.
He also added that his son moved to Dubai for work, having previously worked in Sakhalin.
Earlier, information appeared that about a month ago the son of the mayor of flooded Orsk purchased an apartment in Dubai, the cost of which could reach 33 million rubles. The move occurred shortly after the start of partial mobilization in Russia (September 2022). According to the investigation, the grandchildren of the head of Orsk are studying in local schools according to the “British system”.
On April 5, a dam broke in Orsk. At the moment, as of April 15, more than 14 thousand residential buildings and 21 thousand household plots were flooded in the Orenburg region.
