President Japarov called on Blinken not to interfere in the internal affairs of Kyrgyzstan
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, in his response to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, called on him to refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of the republic. The text of the letter was published by the press secretary of the Kyrgyz leader Askat Alagozov. According to him, Blinken previously sent a letter to Japarov, expressing concern about the bill amending the law “On Non-Profit Organizations” (the so-called “law on foreign agents”), which is being considered by the Kyrgyz parliament.
Last Friday, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev handed over a response letter from the president to US Secretary of State Leslie Viguerie in Bishkek.
The text of Japarov’s message notes that the content of Blinken’s letter bears signs of interference in the internal affairs of the state.
