The Hague court found Girkin, Dubinsky and Kharchenko guilty in the MH17 case

Earlier today the court in The Hague definedthat flight MH17 was shot down by a Buk air defense system from a field near Pervomaisky. The judge noted that the Buk from which MH17 was shot down was allegedly brought from Russia to Ukraine, and then taken back. It is impossible to establish the actions of the SAM crew, and it is also unclear who gave the command to launch the missile.

Boeing 777 of Malaysian Airlines, following flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed on July 17, 2014 in the Donetsk region. There were 298 people on board, all of them died. The Netherlands accused three Russians and a Ukrainian of involvement in the downing of MH17. This is one of the former leaders of the Donbass militia, Igor Girkin (Strelkov), who then held the post of Minister of Defense of the DPR, and three of his subordinates – citizens of the Russian Federation Sergey Dubinsky and Oleg Pulatov, as well as Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko. All four are tried in absentia, they deny guilt.

Investigators believe that the liner was shot down by representatives of the DPR militia from the Buk. At the same time, the Netherlands argue that it is Russia that is responsible for the deaths of people, which has repeatedly denied these accusations. The Netherlands during the investigation refused to take into account the data of Russia, according to which the missile that shot down the plane was launched from the Ukrainian Buk air defense system from the territory controlled by Ukraine. In addition, as the Russian Foreign Ministry stated, it was the non-closure of Ukrainian airspace that led to the MH17 flight crash.
