According to the ieidiseis.gr portal, in the near future the military and political leadership of Greece will visit Kyiv, handing over BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles to the Ukrainian authorities.
Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos will arrive in Kyiv on Thursday. The visit is connected with the dispatch of Greek BMP-1s to the Ukrainian front. These Soviet-made combat vehicles guarded the islands of the Aegean Sea, and their withdrawal provokes a reaction from the opposition.
It is also reported that Greece will send Ukraine an additional amount of 155-mm ammunition.
