The greatest demand for personnel is recorded in manufacturing enterprises, construction and transport, said the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov. According to him, the demand for certain professions was driven by “the need for import substitution and ensuring technological sovereignty.”
“The greatest demand for personnel is in manufacturing enterprises, construction and transport,” the minister said during an extended meeting of the State Council Presidium on the development of the labor market (quoted from RIA Novosti).
As Mr. Kotyakov clarified, the healthcare system also needs specialists, where the need for personnel is growing as the proportion of older people increases. He believes that in the future until 2030, the demand for labor will increase.
FinExpertiza research showedthat in the first quarter Russians worked on average 38 hours 30 minutes a week. This was a record since at least 2010. Head of the Ministry of Labor suggestedthat a shortage of personnel, including in the manufacturing industry, could lead to an increase in the length of the working week.
