The border villages of the Glushkovsky district (Kursk region) Tetkino and Popovo-Lezhachi again came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported Governor Roman Starovoit on the Telegram channel.
“It is again restless in the Glushkovsky district, the enemy is shelling the border villages – Tetkino, Popovo-Lezhachi,” he wrote.
The border villages are located near the Sumy region of Ukraine, they have been repeatedly shelled after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. In this regard, on April 11, a “yellow” level of terrorist threat was introduced in the Kursk region, which was also repeatedly extended. On August 8, Starovoit made a decision once again extend “yellow” level of danger for another 15 days – until August 23, since the risks of sabotage, reconnaissance and terrorist groups remain in the region.
Also on August 8, the increased level of terrorist threat until August 22 was extended by the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. This region has also been repeatedly shelled by Ukraine. As a result, some settlements were resettled.
