“Volvo found a new owner. This is our Russian enterprise, and the documents have already been signed. I know that there are already plans to restart the enterprise this year. It should reach full capacity next year,” explained Shapsha.
The governor added that the owner of the Volkswagen plant also changed. Regional authorities are working to restart this enterprise both with the owner and with Chinese partners. The same applies to the Peugeot plant. However, Shapsha made a remark that everything said was work plans.
“There is only one expectation – all factories will be launched and will begin to work according to their profile without changing the type of activity,” summed up the head of the region.
