The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that an attempt by Ukrainian terrorists to carry out an attack using drones had been thwarted. He informed about this in his Telegram channel.
According to the head of the region, two aircraft-type drones were destroyed by air defense systems over the territory of the Bryansk and Karachevsky regions. Representatives of operational services are working on the spot. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the elimination by air defense of eleven unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of the Bryansk, Kaluga, Moscow and Tula regions. No other details have been provided yet.
Information about the foiled attempt of a mass attack by UAVs flying towards the capital was previously published by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. According to him, while approaching the metropolis, drones were shot down in the Naro-Fominsk area and over the territory of the Odintsovo urban district.
