The governor of the Belgorod region announced the shelling of the village of Zhuravlevka

The governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on the shelling of the border village of Zhuravlevka by the armed forces of Ukraine (AFU). Such a message appeared in his Telegram channel politics.
“Zhuravlevka was fired upon. <...> there is destruction in the school, the recreation center and the administration,” the statement said.
Gladkov clarified that the shelling was carried out on an empty village, where only elderly people over 80 remained. He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have no other goal, “except to intimidate” the population.
The day before, September 12, Gladkov urged residents of the villages of Zhuravlevka and Nekhoteevka to be evacuated from their homes for a while. “We continue to convince people who are still in Zhuravlevka and Nekhoteevka to temporarily leave their homes. And we will do this until we convince,” he said in his Telegram channel.
In March in Zhuravlevka and Nekhoteevka introduced state of emergency due to the explosion of a shell fired by the Ukrainian military. After that, the villages were shelled repeatedly. At the end of May, the authorities of the region accepted decision to ban entry to Zhuravlevka. At the same time, according to Gladkov, due to shelling perished one woman.
Now in the Belgorod region there is a “yellow” level of terrorist threat, according to which the authorities of the region introduced it in mid-April, since then it has been repeatedly extended. The last time – until September 22.
