Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev today, March 14, stated about creating a clone of his personal Telegram account. The head of the region warned citizens and asked “not to enter into dialogue with the owners of this account.”
“I have already contacted technical support of the messenger and reported this fact. I know that just a month ago such a massive attack was carried out on the accounts of many mayors, all over the country,” Mr. Kobzev noted in the publication.
The head of the region also published a screenshot of correspondence allegedly on his behalf. The dialogue talks about the FSB’s interest in the interlocutor in connection with a possible connection “with Ukraine.”
On the same day about a similar incident reported Mayor of Irkutsk Ruslan Bolotov. He also asked citizens to be more vigilant.
