The government will allocate 2.5 billion rubles. 54 regions for additional support of a number of citizens in the implementation of the social gasification program, informed Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Mishustin explained that, on behalf of the president, the authorities would provide additional support to certain categories of citizens by allocating subsidies of at least 100,000 rubles. for their connection to gas distribution networks. Such subsidies will be received by combat veterans, participants in the Great Patriotic War, low-income families and large families.

“At the same time, the government partially compensates regions with low budget security for such expenses, for which about 2.5 billion rubles will be allocated this year. The funds will be received by 54 subjects of the Russian Federation,” Mishustin said.

The prime minister also urged the heads of regions to ensure that the population is informed about such a measure of state support and to eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy. The total number of applications for free supply of gas pipelines to the sites is approaching 1 million, Mishustin added.

The social gasification program has been operating in Russia since 2021. It assumes that the level of gasification of regions will increase from 71% in 2020 to 82.9% by 2030. The total costs are estimated at 567.5 billion rubles. A single gasification operator – OOO “Gazprom gasification” (structure of Gazprom’s subsidiary Gazprom Mezhregiongaz).

At the end of August 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak to work out additional subsidies for social gasification, and already on October 12, he instructed the government to extend the social gasification program after 2022. At a meeting of the international forum “Russian Energy Week» The head of state noted that, despite the difficult economic situation, facilities with a total capacity of more than 2,000 MW were commissioned and modernized in Russia in 2022.

On December 1, Mishustin signed a resolution, according to which the program of social gasification in the country becomes indefinite and applies to medical and educational institutions.
