The government will establish an information exchange system with friendly countries to combat money laundering

Russia will create an international information exchange system with the countries of Central and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. It will help prevent money laundering. The government is already singled out 8.5 million rubles for it.
Work on the technical design and creation of a prototype of such a system will begin this year. This will be done by the staff of the International Training and Methodological Center for Financial Monitoring. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order to allocate 8.5 million rubles for the development of this system.
The information exchange system will be created on the basis of domestic technologies. Development should end in 2026. The system represents closed channels of communication with states friendly to Russia. Rosfinmonitoring will become the coordinator of the work.
On July 1, the Council of Europe Criminal Law Convention on Corruption ceased to apply to Russia. President Vladimir Putin introduced a bill to denounce the convention in January.
According to statistics Ministry of Internal Affairs, in recent years, the number of corruption crimes has been growing: in 2021, about 35,000 of them were registered, which is 14% more than a year earlier.
