The government will check the spending of funds for the needs of the special operation

The Russian government has planned to conduct audits of the spending of funds allocated for the needs of a special operation in Ukraine, declared Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting of the Coordinating Council to meet the needs of the Russian Armed Forces.

“A significant issue is control over the use of budgetary funds allocated for a special military operation. The government plans to check those resources that were intended for the repair and production of weapons, military special equipment, the purchase of fuels and lubricants,” he said.

In the future, the rest of the areas of spending funding during the NWO will be checked, the prime minister added.

At the meeting, Mishustin also spoke about the revitalization of industrial enterprises in the interests of the Northern Military District and the growth in production for a wide range of products. In addition, deliveries of both equipment for Russian servicemen and military equipment necessary for combat operations were arranged.

“These are all first results. It is necessary to continue to act in the same vein, much remains to be done. Our industry is gradually coping with current challenges and leveling the situation,” he said.

Putin pointed out to the Ministry of Defense that there are no restrictions on funding the army, the country provides everything that the military needs. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in turn, pointed to the reduction in the delivery time for the most popular types of weapons in connection with the special operation. “In order to build up their combat capabilities, deliveries of the most popular samples were transferred from 2024-2025. for 2023,” he said.

On October 21, Putin signed a decree on the creation of a Coordinating Council under the government of the Russian Federation to meet the needs of the Russian military. The new structure was headed by Mishustin. Its tasks include the material support of the Russian troops, including the supply and repair of weapons, military equipment, as well as the provision of medical and sanitary services.
