The government submitted to the State Duma bill on the federal budget for 2024 and for the planning period 2025 and 2026. Federal budget expenditures next year are planned at 36.6 trillion rubles, in 2025 – 34.4 trillion rubles, in 2026 – 35.6 trillion rubles.
How clarified in the government, the draft budget for the next three years was formed taking into account the need to fulfill social obligations to Russians and solve the problems outlined by the President of Russia. It is compiled on the basis of the basic version of the socio-economic development forecast and implies a transition to economic growth in 2024 at a level above 2%.
According to the bill, revenues in 2024 will amount to 35 trillion rubles, in 2025 – 33.5 trillion rubles, in 2026 – 34.1 trillion rubles. Federal budget expenditures in 2024 are planned at 36.6 trillion rubles, in 2025 – 34.4 trillion rubles, in 2026 – 35.6 trillion rubles.
One of the key directions in the project is targeted support for pregnant women and families with children. It is expected that 4.4 trillion rubles will be allocated for the payment of a single benefit in 2024–2026. This will make it possible to provide benefits to more than 10 million Russians, the government noted.

More than 100 billion rubles will be allocated under the social contract program to support citizens who find themselves in difficult life situations.
The draft budget for 2024–2026 was approved by the government on September 22. Next year’s budget is drawn up with a deficit of 0.9% of GDP. Compared to the indicators of the current budget law for 2023–2025, revenues and expenses next year will increase significantly: the law assumed that revenues would amount to 27.2 trillion rubles, expenses – 29.4 trillion rubles. As Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin explained, this increase in spending is explained by a significant increase in funding for measures to implement the president’s message.
