The government has set a quota for the export of sulfur for mineral fertilizers at 1.1 million tons

From August 10 to December 31, 2022, there will be temporary restrictions on the export of sulfur from Russia, which is necessary for the production of mineral fertilizers. The quota will be 1.1 million tons. Decree This was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The government also instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to approve the procedure for calculating the volume of the non-tariff quota, the plan for the supply and purchase of sulfur for 2022.
May 30 government extended restrictions on the export of mineral fertilizers from Russia until the end of 2022. For nitrogen fertilizers, the quota is 8.3 million tons, for complex fertilizers – just over 5.9 million tons. The restrictions do not apply to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
