The Russian government has approved indices for changes in the amount of fees for utility services and maximum permissible deviations from them for 2024–2028. The order was published on the official Internet portal legal information.
According to the document, from the second half of next year the average index in Moscow will be 11%, the Moscow region – 10.7%, St. Petersburg – 9.8%, Leningrad region – 10.2%. For 2025–2028, deviations from average indices are set in the range from 0 to 2.1%.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service must monitor compliance with the established restrictions. To the Ministry of Economy explainedthat, taking into account the planned indexation, the amount of payment for housing and communal services for the average Russian family will increase by 500–550 rubles.
Previous indexation of tariffs for housing and communal services passed seven months ahead of schedule – December 1, 2022 instead of July 1, 2023. The decision was explained by the need to update the utility infrastructure and the fact that in recent years indexation was below the inflation rate.
