The government began to form a fund to support participants in the special operation

The Government of the Russian Federation has begun work on the formation of a fund to support the families of the victims of the special operation in Ukraine and veterans, informed Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“For targeted, personal assistance to the families of fallen soldiers and veterans of the Northern Military District, the president set the task of creating a state fund … Work on the formation of such a structure has begun,” he said.

The Fund will coordinate the provision of social and medical assistance, the rehabilitation of participants in the SVO, and will help them undergo training, the prime minister recalled.

Mishustin also announced the need to work out the issue of providing every six months a two-week vacation to all participants in the NWO, which the head of state spoke about in his message.

On February 21, during his address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on the creation of a special state fund, the task of which is targeted assistance to veterans of the military special operation and the families of the victims. The Fund will deal with the full range of support for these categories of citizens: psychological, medical assistance, employment assistance, entrepreneurship development, advanced training, organization of long-term home care, etc.

The fund’s work should be open and simple, Putin said: “Without treasury and bureaucracy.” According to him, each veteran should be assigned a personal social worker-coordinator who “will work in real time” with veterans. The fund’s structures should be deployed in all subjects of the Federation by the end of 2023 February 23 Putin declaredthat the fund would be subordinate to the government.
