The Russian government is launching a new program resettlement of citizens from emergency housing. The program will cover apartment buildings that were deemed uninhabitable from 2017 to 2022. Within the framework of the program for 2022-2023, 45 billion rubles will be allocated. from the federal budget. Nine regions will be the first to receive support this year.
“The country continues to resettle people from emergency housing … The government is launching a new program, it will accelerate the demolition and reconstruction of houses that have become uninhabitable over the past five years, until January 1, 2022,” Mr. Mishustin said at a government meeting.
The Prime Minister noted that the program will allow relocating about 50 thousand people from almost 1 million square meters. m. The level of co-financing of expenses of Russian subjects from the federal budget will average 60%.
This year, the program allocated state support in the amount of 22.5 billion rubles. The first funds will be received by nine regions that have completed the tasks of resettling emergency housing before May 1. These are Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Chechnya, Magadan, Sakhalin and Saratov regions, Sevastopol and St. Petersburg. The government notes that the regions will be able to renew the old fund with a total area of about 500 thousand square meters. m. and improve the quality of life of more than 26.5 thousand people. The government plans in December 2022 to determine the rest of the list of regions and approve the rules for resettling emergency housing.
President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to provide funds for the resettlement of citizens in the budget a year ago, following the results of the second stage of the 20th Congress of the United Russia party. However, the new program was only announced today.
In the period from 2021 to 2022, 12 cases of collapse of residential buildings in Russia became known. Including, in Omsk, Saratov, Chelyabinsk, Kemerovo and Nizhny Novgorod regions.
