Germany is preparing an additional package of military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine with a total value of 400 million euros. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced this in an interview with the publication Bild.
He clarified that the new package will include the next batch of ammunition, armored vehicles, explosive and mortar shells, electric generators, as well as heating systems before the winter period
In addition, the German minister noted that also as part of the new assistance, Kyiv will receive mine clearance systems and winter clothing from Berlin.
Long-range Taurus missiles, which Ukraine has been asking for for a long time, are not included in the new military aid package. Answering the question whether Kyiv will receive this ammunition, Pistorius said that the German government has not yet decided whether it is worth supplying them to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
