The city of Stralsund in Germany offers itself as a venue for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. This is reported by the newspaper Die Welt.
On Thursday, the mayor of the city, Alexander Badrov, representing the Christian Democratic Union of Germany, received from the meeting of citizens the task of informing the German government about this proposal. He must also establish contacts with representatives of Russia and Ukraine and offer them the town hall of Stralsund for peace negotiations.
As stated in the resolution adopted by the city’s residents, in Stralsund in 1370 peace was concluded between King Valdemar IV of Denmark and the cities of the Hanseatic League.
