The Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service of Russia, in its message, called on the fighters of a private military company not to follow the orders of the founder of the PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, and also to detain him. It is reported by RT.
“We call on the PMC fighters not to make irreparable mistakes, to stop any forceful actions against the Russian people, not to carry out the criminal and treacherous orders of Prigozhin, and to take measures to detain him,” the message says.
Earlier it was reported that a criminal case was opened against Prigozhin under Article 279 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the fact of organizing an armed rebellion. As part of the case, it is planned to give Prigozhin’s actions a proper legal assessment. Article 279 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 12 to 20 years.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that on behalf of Prigozhin, false information about the attack on the Wagner PMC camp was being disseminated in social networks. The Kremlin said that President Vladimir Putin is aware of the situation and that the necessary measures are being taken. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee of the Russian Federation on Friday evening, June 23, stated that the allegations spread on behalf of Yevgeny Prigozhin had no basis.
