The FSB asked a court in Moscow to arrest a foreigner on espionage charges

The Lefortovo Court of Moscow received a petition to select a preventive measure in the form of the arrest of Sharifjon Tillozoda in the case of espionage, should from the court file.

He is charged with Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (espionage). The maximum penalty under this article is 20 years in prison. The petition was received by the court on October 11; a hearing to consider it has not yet been scheduled.

TASS with reference to the press service of the court writesthat Tillozoda is a foreigner, an FSB investigator petitioned for his arrest.

Later, in the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction reportedthat the Lefortovo District Court arrested Tillozoda until December 10. The plot of the criminal case is unknown, since the materials are classified.

In addition, the agency, citing the Odintsovo City Court, notes that Tillozoda’s full namesake was detained by police in September in a closed area in the Moscow region. As a result, the court fined him 5,000 rubles. according to Part 3 of Art. 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation by a foreigner of the regime of stay in Russia in a city of federal significance). Tillozoda admitted that he visited the territory without special permission. According to him, he came to Russia to earn money, but he did not answer why he was in the closed territory. It is clarified that Tillozoda was sent to a temporary detention center for foreign citizens in Yegoryevsk.

Previously in Primorye arrested a man who collected and transmitted data on military targets to Ukrainian intelligence. He is charged with Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (high treason).
