The form of the ballot for voting in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation has been approved

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation has approved the form of the ballot for the presidential elections. The candidates’ names will be listed in alphabetical order. The year of birth, region of residence, as well as information about whether the candidate is a self-nominated candidate or nominated by a party will be indicated.
The ballot will be printed on white paper with a green background grid on the front. By decision of the regions, ballots can be printed in the state languages of the republics belonging to the Russian Federation and in the languages of the peoples in the territories of their compact residence. The form of the ballot paper using ballot paper processing complexes (KOIP) has also been approved.
The procedure for using video surveillance has been approved. Appropriate signs will be posted on the premises. The cameras must operate continuously, starting with a system testing exercise that takes place before the first day of voting.
Foreign sections will be formed by January 24, and in exceptional cases by March 9. The voter list is compiled based on personal written statements and oral appeals received on voting day. Observation can be carried out in turn by up to three observers from a candidate, party or the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. Accredited media representatives may be present at voting premises in foreign polling stations.
Voting in the presidential elections will take place from March 15 to 17. While Leonid Slutsky (LDPR), Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), Vladislav Davankov (New People) are registered as candidates, Vladimir Putin plans to take part in the elections as a self-nominated candidate. CEC registered initiative group to nominate Mr. Putin in December 2023.
