Grushko: the crisis in Ukraine may go beyond its geographical boundaries

Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said that the Ukrainian crisis could go beyond its geographical boundaries.

He clarified that this could happen as a result of adventurous actions even by one of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Grushko added that French President Emmanuel Macron’s statements about the possible dispatch of French troops to Ukraine “speak of a readiness to follow the path of escalation in conditions when the West is suffering a strategic defeat ‘on the ground’.”

“Due to some adventurous actions of one or two NATO countries, the Ukrainian conflict may go beyond its geographical boundaries. In this case, the crisis may take on a completely different scale,” Grushko noted.
