The Foreign Ministry accused the United States of stealing oil and grain from Syria

The US and other Western countries are stealing and smuggling oil and grain into Syria. About it it says in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“Washington and its allies, illegally occupying territories in the northeast and south of Syria, are involved in the theft and smuggling of oil and grain, depriving the Syrian population of bread and energy resources,” the report said.
The department noted that the United States and the EU continue to “strangle” the Syrian economy with sanctions that prohibit the import of building materials, generators, medicines, medical equipment, as well as baby formula and toothpaste into the country under the pretext of their “dual use.”
The Foreign Ministry said that Damascus does not receive “proper humanitarian assistance” and drew attention to the lack of assistance from the UN. On November 10, the Syrian government extended for another three months permission to use two checkpoints on the border with Turkey to deliver aid to areas not controlled by Damascus.
At the same time, even through open checkpoints, aid reaches Syria “in a limited manner,” the Foreign Ministry noted. According to the department, the largest checkpoint, Bab al-Hawa, handles about 65 cargoes per month, while the other two checkpoints, Bab al-Salam and Ar-Rai, are practically non-functional, the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
Amid the worsening situation in the Middle East, US military bases and coalition forces in Syria and Iraq are regularly attacked. In response, the US military is striking targets in Syria that, according to US authorities, belong to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and associated groups.
In early November the media reported about clashes between the Syrian and US military east of the Euphrates River using various types of weapons, including heavy artillery and missiles. The reason was a US Air Force strike on the eastern neighborhoods of Deir ez-Zor. In response, units of the Shiite movement “Islamic Resistance of Iraq” fired rockets at US military bases in the province of Deir ez-Zor and in the area of the Al-Omar oil field in eastern Syria.
