In Moscow, on Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street, the first Rostic`s restaurant opened on the site of the former flagship KFC restaurant. By the May holidays in Moscow and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, it is planned to open another 40 restaurants, by the end of May – 26 in the Moscow region. This was reported to TASS by Tatyana Shamanskaya, CEO of Unirest, which manages the former assets of the American Yum! Brands (she owns KFC).

The company currently has 1,000 restaurants. In total, the Rostic`s restaurant chain will expand to 2,000 establishments. “We see great potential for the growth of our network and set ourselves such an ambitious goal as another thousand establishments,” Tatyana Shamanskaya said in an interview with TASS.

April 17 Yum! Brands reported on the completion of the sale of the Russian business of KFC to the Smart Service company of entrepreneurs Andrey Oskolkov and Konstantin Kotov. After the deal, the American company left the Russian market. The KFC chain came to Russia in 1993, having entered into a partnership agreement with Rosinter, and for a long time the chain restaurants worked under the banner of Rostik’s. An application for brand registration was submitted to Rospatent with the spelling in English – Rostic`s.
