September 8, the first day of voting in the elections of deputies of the legislative assembly and representative bodies of municipalities, is declared a non-working holiday in the Zaporozhye region. About it informed in his Telegram channel of the Acting Governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky.

Balitsky signed a corresponding decree so that residents of the Zaporozhye region could take part in the vote.

“…signed a decree by which the day of September 8, 2023, the first day of voting in the elections of deputies of the Legislative Assembly and representative bodies of municipalities, is declared a non-working holiday,” the acting governor wrote.

A single voting day (EDV) is scheduled for September 10 in Russia. Elections from September 8 to 10 will also be held in new regions – the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Residents will elect deputies of local legislative assemblies, which in turn will vote to elect the heads of subjects.

Early voting for residents of the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, who are located in other regions, ended 4 September. According to the results of early voting of the CEC not received not a single complaint from participants, observers, or members of election commissions.
