“At the moment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland is considering measures in connection with hooligan actions,” the embassy noted. Representatives of the press service added that no one was injured during the incident.
Earlier today it became known that several sledgehammers were thrown into the courtyard of the Finnish Embassy in Moscow.
The Russian Foreign Ministry had previously reported on the burning of the Russian flag at a procession in Helsinki. Diplomats regarded this incident “as an unprecedented unacceptable act of desecration of the state symbol of the country.”
As noted, the Finnish authorities are required to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice. In addition, Russia demanded that Helsinki take measures to exclude “such extremist antics” in the future.
