At its meeting on December 7, the Federation Council will consider the issue of holding voting in the presidential elections on March 17. This was announced by the head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, Andrei Klishas.
“On the 7th the deadline begins to expire when we can call presidential elections. We thought, you and I are on the 7th-13th, we can’t delay and consider the issue tomorrow at a plenary meeting. It is proposed to schedule elections for March 17,” Andrei Klishas said at the committee meeting.
At the same time, the decision on the three-day voting, according to the senator, will be made by the Central Election Commission (CEC). Tomorrow’s meeting will be attended by the head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova.
