Federation Council member Tsekov called the European Union’s plans to live without Russian gas nonsense
Senator from the Crimean region, member of the international committee of the Federation Council Sergei Tsekov commented on the statement of European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson about the lack of interest in the EU in extending the agreement on the transit of Russian gas to Europe, which expires at the end of 2024.
According to Simpson, the European Union has learned to “live without Russian gas.”
“This is absolute nonsense… They are driven by hatred, so they make absolutely paradoxical statements. Europe will never be able to do without Russian gas and Russian energy resources. I am absolutely convinced of this, and everyone understands that this is absolutely true,” Tsekov said.
