The Federation Council approved the law on establishing the minimum wage (minimum wage) for 2023 in the amount of 16,242 rubles, write “RIA News”.
It is specified that the established amount is higher than last year by 6.3%. In 2022, the minimum wage was set at 15,279 rubles. The accompanying note said that thanks to the new law, the level of wages will be increased for 3.5 million public sector employees.
It is assumed that in the future the minimum wage will increase in an accelerated manner: its increase will depend on the growth rate of the subsistence minimum for the able-bodied population in the whole of the Russian Federation and will exceed them by three percentage points.
State Duma deputies accepted the corresponding bill on 7 December. September 22 with a proposal to increase the cost of living, as well as the minimum wage spoke Ministry of Labor. The department noted that in 2023 it is planned to increase the minimum wage to 16,242 rubles, and the cost of living to 14,375 rubles. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed federal law that establishes a living wage for 2023 in the amount of 14,375 rubles.
