The Federal Customs Service plans to increase the volume of contributions to the budget by 200-300 billion rubles per year

The amount of transfers from the Federal Customs Service (FCS) to the budget in 2023 will exceed last year’s level by 200-300 billion rubles. This was stated by the acting head of the Federal Customs Service Ruslan Davydov at a meeting of government members with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Davydov also said that since the beginning of the year, the Federal Customs Service has transferred 5.2 trillion rubles to the budget of the Russian Federation. Of these, 3.9 trillion rubles. amounted to import duties.

In September it was reported that revenues to the Russian federal budget from the Federal Customs Service since the beginning of the year were 4.5 trillion rubles. The planned target for the year is slightly less than 6.5 trillion. In January–April, transfers from the Federal Customs Service were below forecast values ​​due to the explosions of the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the fall of 2022, but since May the agency entered the “green” zone. The planned target for September amounted to 555 billion rubles.

On September 19, Davydov said that the country’s key source of income after oil and gas exports remains sale of food abroad. According to him, the growth in exports of agricultural products currently reaches approximately 70% “in weight terms”, and in value terms it is “less due to the price situation.”
