The Federal Air Transport Agency has banned flights of Russian airlines in Yemeni airspace. Earlier, Aeroflot airline reported that it does not operate flights over the region.
“In connection with the events in Yemen, the risks that have arisen for flight safety, the Federal Air Transport Agency has banned the use of the airspace of this state for flights (including transit) of civil aircraft of the Russian Federation,” says the Federal Air Transport Agency’s material in Telegram channel.
On the night of January 12, the US and British military carried out airstrikes on 60 targets in 16 locations in Yemen. The Houthis claimed 73 strikes, killing five soldiers.
