The US Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate in the range of 5.25-5.5% for the fifth time in a row. Inflation in the United States has decreased over the past year, but remains high, the Federal Reserve noted.
“The Committee believes that the risks to achieving employment and inflation targets are becoming more balanced. The economic outlook is uncertain, and the Fed remains very sensitive to inflation risks,” the press release stated.
