The press service of the Federal Bureau of Investigation issued an official comment in connection with the publication of a report by Special Counsel John Durham on the falsification of an investigation into former President Donald Trump’s ties with Russia.
The FBI said it was the flaws in the 2016 and 2017 investigations that Durham refers to in his paper that prompted “dozens of corrective actions.”
“Had these reforms been carried out in 2016, the errors identified in the report could have been prevented,” the FBI said.
