Senior researcher at the Academy of Military Sciences Vladimir Prokhvatilov in conversation with “Lentoy.ru” stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have almost run out of supplies from the last batch of Turkish Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which the Russian military has learned to shoot down. He believes that a number of improvements have been made to the new batch of drones.
According to the expert, the batch of Turkish UAVs at the beginning had a serious effect, but then they began to shoot them down, setting up serious air defense (air defense) and training the military to fight them. Prokhvatilov pointed out that Bayraktar then disappeared, but now the Turks have improved their drones, but it is still unknown how exactly, because they are not yet in Ukraine.
Nevertheless, the specialist emphasized that Russian military personnel will react to new UAVs accordingly and will learn to shoot them down as soon as the enemy appears. According to Prokhvatilov, it is impossible to say that the new Bayraktar will change anything, because no fundamental improvements can be made.
At the same time, the expert added that it is possible to increase their range of action, that they dropped ammunition at a greater distance from the line of combat contact, it is also possible to improve electronics to more effectively counter electronic warfare (EW), and it is also possible to increase the power of ammunition.
