Military expert Glazunov: the capture of Chasov Yar will be a turning point in the battle for Donbass

Military expert Oleg Glazunov, in a conversation with Lenta.ru, said that the capture of the city of Chasov Yar in the DPR would be a turning point in the battle for Donbass.

According to him, if the Russian military takes Chasov Yar, then the Russian Federation will gain access to Kramatorsk and Slavyansk.

“After this, the liberation of the entire Donetsk region is quite possible. The capture of Kramatorsk, which has become the Ukrainian center of the Donetsk region, will mean that the battle for Donbass is over,” Glazunov noted.

He clarified that Kramatorsk and Slavyansk are key cities in the Donetsk region. They contain factories where weapons are prepared and heavy equipment is repaired.
