Gleb Kuznetsov, head of the expert council of the Expert Institute for Social Research, commented on the high result of candidates for municipal deputies from United Russia in the last elections in Moscow.
According to the expert, such results of the candidates can be explained, among other things, by a high assessment of the entire system of city government. Kuznetsov also expressed the point of view that votes for United Russia representatives should be taken as “a credit of trust that is important to justify”
“It is no longer possible to refer to the fact that someone is interfering with work,” Kuznetsov said.
The expert also suggested that United Russia candidates have an advantage in Moscow due to the popularity of the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
