According to the Shot Telegram channel, activists of the Veterans of Russia movement asked the Investigative Committee to check the art critic, fashion historian and former host of the TV show “Fashionable Sentence” Alexander Vasiliev for discrediting the RF Armed Forces.
The reason was his statements during a lecture at Moscow State University. According to social activists, Vasiliev expressed criticism of the special military operation in Ukraine.
The chairman of the Russian Veterans movement, SVO volunteer Ildar Rezyapov, also expressed a lack of understanding why Vasiliev, who previously left Russia, is still involved as an expert and gives lectures to students.
Previously, after the start of the SVO, Vasiliev went to his home in France, but then returned to Russia. The press service of the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University confirmed to the RIA Novosti agency that Vasiliev was involved as an expert in fashion and art in the professional training program “Theory and Fashion Industry”. They also noted that his contract is valid until the end of this year and will not be extended further.
