It is becoming increasingly difficult for the European Union to find new areas for imposing sanctions against Russia, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas admitted.
In an interview with the British newspaper Telegraph, she called the current situation a problem.
“We are finding it increasingly difficult to impose sanctions. There are not many elements left for which it is possible to impose sanctions restrictions,” she said.
On September 6, the eighth package of anti-Russian sanctions by the European Union came into force, which, among other things, determines the legislative basis for imposing a ceiling on prices for Russian oil. As reported, the oil price ceiling will be introduced on December 5, for petroleum products on February 5, 2023.
