“We sent a letter in which we pointed out those provisions that, in our opinion, are contrary to the rules of the World Trade Organization. Either the US will correct them, which we hope, or we will have to apply to the WTO, and then we will consider retaliatory measures. We intend to go all the way,” said Thierry Breton in an interview. Mr. Breton added that in October a working group between the US and the EU was set up to discuss the new US law. He noted that the document could lead to violation of competition rules.
