It is still “very difficult for the European Union to verify” the data on the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin in a plane crash, said EU Foreign Service spokesman Peter Stano.
“We have seen reports of a plane crash in which the head of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, members of his entourage and crew were allegedly killed … However, like many other things in Russia, it is very difficult for us to verify this,” he said at a briefing.
Stano added that it was not his job to comment on the incident. This also applies to the possible consequences of Prigozhin’s death.
Recall that the plane crashed the day before in the Tver region after taking off from the capital region. According to the Msk1 source, the forensic medical examination confirmed that Prigozhin was among the ten people who died.
