Belgian Energy Minister Tinne Van der Straten said that the European Union (EU) intends to transfer equipment for decentralized energy generation to Ukraine. She announced this upon arrival at an informal meeting of EU energy ministers in Brussels.

As the head of the Belgian Ministry of Energy noted, the European Union will provide Kyiv with equipment designed for decentralized energy generation. Van der Straten indicated that her Ukrainian colleague German Galushchenko will speak about the needs of Ukraine during the meeting.

The minister added that, in addition to Galushchenko, the head of the energy department of Moldova, Viktor Parlikov, and representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance were also invited to the event.
