The Embassy of Finland in Moscow commented on Finnish media reports, citing European Commissioner Ylva Johansson, that now Russians will be allowed into the EU only for humanitarian reasons, and entry for tourism purposes will be prohibited.
“This information is incorrect,” the diplomatic mission noted.
They explained that they were talking about the suspension of the visa facilitation agreement. But a complete ban on tourism and a ban on entry into the country with tourist visas for Russian citizens is not provided.
Earlier it was reported that now the Russians will have to pay 80 euros for a visa and provide additional documents. The Russians will also be checked for security threats in connection with this, the period for issuing visas is increased to 45 days. Also, Russians will now mainly be given single-entry visas strictly for travel dates.
