The Embassy announced the actual recognition of the United States in war crimes in Ukraine

The United States has de facto admitted to committing war crimes in Ukraine by approving the transfer of cluster munitions to Kyiv. About it says in a statement by the Russian Embassy in the United States, published in the Telegram channel of the diplomatic mission.

“If any logic can be traced in the administration’s decision to transfer cluster munitions, then it boils down to the fact that “it will not get any worse.” The United States is ready to destroy all living things far from its own borders with the hands of Ukrainians, ”the commentary says.

The Embassy drew attention to the statement of the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, who acknowledged that such weapons pose a threat to the lives of civilians. “In the perverted view of a White House employee, this brings “less harm” than Russia’s actions,” the Russian diplomatic mission concluded.

The embassy believes that the United States decided to transfer cluster munitions “for the sake of a pipe dream of a strategic defeat of the Russian Federation.”

July 7 White House informedthat Washington will send cluster munitions to Kyiv. The US presidential administration noted that Ukraine provided the United States with written guarantees that the ammunition would be used “with care” to avoid civilian casualties.

Kirby explainedthat such a decision was made due to the lack of conventional artillery shells from the United States for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The American official added that the supply of cluster munitions is a temporary measure until the United States increases the production of conventional projectiles. He said that Russia’s actions in Ukraine allegedly cause more damage than the use of cluster bombs. According to him, Washington is aware of the possible civilian casualties from these weapons, so the United States and Ukraine “intend to focus on demining.”

Cluster munitions are banned in over 100 countries. A number of states, including Russia, China, Ukraine and the United States, have not signed the convention on cluster munitions. The ratifiers of the international treaty pledged “never and under no circumstances” to use cluster munitions, not to manufacture or acquire them, and not to stockpile, retain or transfer to anyone, directly or indirectly.
