“We will do everything exactly the way we want. Therefore, I ask you to come to the elections and express your civic and patriotic position, vote for your chosen candidate, for the successful future of our beloved Russia,” the president said.

He also noted that Russia is now going through a “difficult period” and faces challenges in almost all areas. “And in order to continue to respond to them with dignity, to successfully overcome difficulties, we continue to need to be united and self-confident,” said Vladimir Putin.

Presidential elections in Russia will be held on March 15, 16 and 17. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation registered four candidates: self-nominated Vladimir Putin, Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Leonid Slutsky from the Liberal Democratic Party and Vladislav Davankov from the New People.
