The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has compiled a list of goods that can be admitted to trading on the common exchange market of the EAEU. At the suggestion of the states of the union, it included gas, oil, oil products, electricity, gold, grain, ferrous metals, coal, mineral fertilizers, vegetable oil, sugar, meal, cake, building materials, and cement. This is stated in the report of the commission on the formation of a common exchange market for goods in the EAEU (available from Vedomosti).
After the launch of trading in real goods on the common market, it is planned to develop exchange trading in derivative financial instruments, including futures and options on commodity underlying assets. In the future, the countries set the task of establishing benchmarks for the main goods traded both on the domestic and foreign markets.
