An agreement on the mutual recognition of bank guarantees in the implementation of state (municipal) procurement was signed in the EAEU. About it informs Belta with reference to the press service of the Belarusian government.
The agreement was developed due to the inability to use bank guarantees issued by resident banks of one member state of the union as a security for an application for participation in public procurement and for securing a contract by customers of another member state. The agreement will also help remove obstacles associated with participation in public procurement in Russia.
The document was signed following a regular meeting of the EEC Council in Moscow. The agenda of the meeting included 43 issues covering the areas of technical and customs regulation within the framework of the EAEU, digital cooperation between states, and the international positioning of the union, the agency clarifies.
August 24, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin urged make the EAEU a self-sufficient region. According to the prime minister, the formation of common markets for goods and services, finance, investment and labor should become a priority in a single space.
